Aviagen celebrates the opening of new GP farms in East Africa
Aviagen recently celebrated the grand opening of its Aviagen East Africa Limited greenfield project in Arusha, Tanzania, and is a joint venture between Aviagen, African Poultry Development Limited and Country Bird Holdings Limited. Aviagen East Africa consists of new Grandparent farms and a Parent Stock hatchery.
Aviagen currently supplies all major poultry producers in the East African region with PS from our UK and European supply bases. From December 2022, Aviagen East Africa will be fully operational and customers in the region will start receiving the Ross 308 PS from our new regional supply base.

VNU Asia Pacific launches ILDEX Philippines

Alltech opens first organic mineral plant in Vietnam
Alltech opened its newest Bioplex plant, the first organic mineral plant in Vietnam and the company’s 8th mineral plant in the world. The production capacity of the plant is 7,000 metric tons (mt) per year. Vietnam’s total feed production in 2021 was 18.5 million tons compared to 2020, with broiler feed increasing by 9% to 2.12 million tons and laying hen feed production increasing by 11.7% to 2 million tons.
